What is Cyber-Chex?
Cyber-Chex is a web application for accepting checks remotely. The system allows
you to take "Demand" checks from your customers. The term "Demand" check means that
you, the business, can print a check on behalf of the client. You simply enter into
the system the clients information plus bank routing and account number. When you're
finished you can print the check on your laser printer.

* Some banks require the use of magnetic MICR toner. This toner
allows the checks to be read through check scanners. Please contact your bank before
ordering MICR toner.
Security
For security purposes the system does not store routing or account numbers. You
have the ability to save your clients information except specific bank data. The
reason for this is to protect both you and your client.
Is the Program Legal?
A Demand check is something that can be initiated by the payer/customer either orally,
by email or fax. Once you receive permission from your payer/customer to create
a demand check based on one of the three methods listed you are allowed to print
the check. The regulations that permit these types of checks are listed below: Uniform
Commercial Code, Title 1, Section 1-201 (39) and Title 3, Section 3-104,and 3-403;
Code of Federal Regulations, Title 12, Chapter U, Part 210; and Regulation J., Federal
Reserve Bank, Part 2, Sections 4A-201 to 4A-212.
How the System Works
Cyber-Chex is NOT an ACH system. The program will not automatically debit your customers
account. Once you print a check you can include it along with your other daily deposits.
There are a few requirements to get the system up and running.
System Setup
Once you sign-up for the system you will create a username and password. You will
then be required to fax Cyber-Chex a copy of your business license or articles of
incorporation. Once this is finished you can begin using the program. New users
receive a packet from us that contains 25 free checks and instructions.
